As staff accountant, Oda Naraguma provides support to finance team by maintaining financial procedures and records with accuracy and legal compliance.
After Oda graduated from the National University of Rwanda (Eastern Africa), with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, she worked for an American non-profit organization, Partners In Health. While her college years’ life on campus was relatively uneventful, working with Partners In Health changed her perspective on how she views her country and the world. She saw much suffering of many survivors of 1994 genocide against Tutsi including widowers, orphans, elderly, and people who were HIV positive, afflicted with hepatitis and other sexual reproductive diseases. All of them needed food, shelters, hygiene sanitation and especially access to education and Healthcare.
When Oda came to the US in 2011, she was driven for to find a job where she could use her skills in an organization that advocates for people who need healthcare – Every Body Texas was just that kind of organization. She is fully committed to the mission, “to increase access to safe, unbiased, high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare services for all people."
Oda also enjoys running, cooking, and traveling.
