We Can Do More

The We Can Do More (WCDM) initiative is a project of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). It is a campaign with a goal to improve contraceptive use among women in Harris County by collaborating with local clinics to train staff, enhance reproductive health services and educate clients. The other goal is to increase the capacity of community-based clinics to provide effective and equitable reproductive healthcare services. This includes things like birth control (contraception), wellness exams, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI), and others.

Every Body Texas was contracted to develop and execute strategies to increase capacity of community-based clinics. Every Body Texas conducted readiness assessments with project partners to determine each participating clinic’s capacity for providing person-centered contraceptive care and making contraception readily available for clients. 

The project was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
