Announcement from CEO Kami Geoffray and Board President Becky Brownlee
From Kami Geoffray, Chief Executive Officer:
It is with a mix of excitement and sadness that I share that my time at Every Body Texas will be coming to an end in this July.
As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, and to start fully implementing the strategic goals of the organization, there is a real opportunity for new leadership at Every Body Texas.
In five short years, we have transformed this organization despite living under the threats of a hostile federal administration and living through a life-changing global pandemic. I am incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished together, and I know that leading Every Body Texas during this time of growth and change will continue to be a highlight of my personal and professional journey.
Although I am ready for a new challenge, it is critically important to me that we first plan for this transition. I know that our Board of Directors and staff are up to the task of ensuring the stability of the organization and its programs.
I want to thank you for the trust you placed in me to advocate for increased access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in Texas. I will remain a steadfast supporter of Every Body Texas and look forward to supporting a successful leadership transition in the coming months.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to express our gratitude to Kami for her leadership and her absolute devotion to the work of Every Body Texas. Supporting access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health care for all Texans is not easy, but she has excelled as CEO and the organization clearly reflects that today. The Board will miss her, but we are excited about the opportunity for new leadership at Every Body Texas, we are committed to the staff who will keep this organization strong, and we fully support Kami as she seeks new opportunities.
Over the last five years, Kami supported the growth of the Board, staff, and programs during a period of unprecedented challenges for the Title X family planning program. She leaves the organization in a place of programmatic and financial strength, ready to begin the full implementation of its strategic goals with the support of a talented new leader.
We have designed a transition timeline that aligns with the completion of existing projects and other deliverables and provides sufficient time for the Board to engage in a thorough and deliberate executive search and selection process.
The Board’s Search Committee is already hard at work and we will share more about the search process within the next few weeks.
