Our plan for increasing access to high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare.
2020-2024 Strategic Plan
In early 2019, Every Body Texas (then still known as Women's Health and Family Planning Association of Texas) embarked on a journey to develop our first-ever Every Body Texas Strategic Plan -- while also working to rename and re-brand our organization and to update our messaging and website. We engaged community supporters, foundations, elected officials, coalition partners, and Title X service providers in an expansive and inclusive process to arrive at our strategic vision for the next five years.
We have outlined three goals for building a sustainable future that increases access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services that center the needs and lives of clients -- and that are fact-based, non-coercive, safe, and accessible:
Goal 1
Expand services and funding to best serve the sexual and reproductive healthcare needs of the people of Texas.
To that end, we will be developing resources that promote financial sustainability, engaging funders to support providers, assessing the gaps and opportunities for clients seeking care, and developing our own model clinic where we can train clinicians and staff and test out new strategies in client-centered care.
Goal 2
Establish Every Body Texas as a leader on the issues concerning sexual and reproductive healthcare to engage the public and policy makers.
To increase access to safe, unbiased, high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare, providers need resources and clients need to know where they can go. We will be playing a more public role in the media and with lawmakers in advocating for the needs of clients and providers.
Goal 3
Build an organizational structure and culture that reflects our values of access, equity, dignity, and innovation.
At Every Body Texas, we want our organizational structure, staff, and Board of Directors to reflect our values -- and for our values to inform the ways we operate internally and externally.
Our Board of Directors approved the strategic plan in February 2020, even with the transitions and disruptions experienced as a result of COVID-19, we remain fully committed to this vision for building a more equitable and accessible landscape for sexual and reproductive healthcare services.
